Tashreeb Al-luhum (Bread & Lamb)
Tashreeb Al-luhum (bread & Lamb), I Love, love this recipe. This recipe can be turned into a vegetarian recipe by removing the meat. This recipe can be cooked in many different ways with beef, lamb, and chicken or only vegetables. Also, you can add any of your favorite vegetables to the dish. The recipe has layers of goodness, pita bread then added vegetables then lamb meat, and meat broth is added to the dish.
Tashreeb in Arabic means to soak, which is a name given to any dish with broth-soaked bread topped with meat and vegetables. Tashreeb is a common Iraqi dish, its concept begins with the poor who are able to put whatever they have in the stew and then serve it over bread in order to make it filling. At the present time, this dish has become a staple food in many Iraqi and Middle Eastern households and it is absolutely delicious!
